Ask anyone in Sydney what is the best city in the world and they will proudly tell you
that Sydney is probably top of the list. With sandy white beaches and waves that will make
the next Hawaiian surfer envious, Sydney has a reputation of being a warm, clean and
beautiful city. It has been over 200 years since the famous Captain James Cook first dropped anchor in Sydney Cove in the year 1788. Sydney has grown from a small colony of less than 1000 convicts, settlers and sailors to a bursting, cosmopolitan city of more than 3 1/2 million people. Today, Sydney can boast that it has one of the largest city in Australia. It could also be argued that she has one of the most romantic harbour in the world. If you are thinking about exploring the cityscape then you would probably need an entire week to see and do everything and that does not include outside of Sydney. For a start, you will probably want to visit some of Sydney's famous icons such as the Opera House, the Sydney Harbour Bridge and many more. TIP: Since the weather in Sydney during the summer months can reach up to 30 degrees celcius, it is advisable that you wear a hat and sunblock.
