Centrepoint Tower Location: Corner of Market Street and Pitt Street, City

For a grand view of the cityscape from an eagle's point of view, the Centrepoint Tower is a must for everyone visiting Sydney. The view from the tower is simply magnificent with an incredible 3600 view of the entire Sydney Basin. On a clear day or night, the view is breathtaking.

This impressive structure stands at 300.48 metres in height making it the tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere.Visitors can expect to an aerial view of the National Parks to the north and south, the Blue Mountains to the west and the ocean to the east.

There are two rotating restaurants that offer lunch buffet and fine dining as well as a coffee lounge so you can enjoy your meal with a view. They are located three floors below the observation decks.

Centrepoint Mall Below the tower is the heart of Sydney's shopping precinct. From here you can browse around the Centrepoint Tower Mall or cross over to Grace Bros. and David Jones . Food courts of the tower is located on the underground level but be warn as it may get crowded during lunch hours.

TIP: To avoid the long waiting line to get into the tower, go before 10am or after 1pm. The cost of entrance will range from $10 for adult and $8 for child or student.

Once you reached the observation deck, set your camera for strong lighting. Be aware that light from your camera may also reflect off the glass windows.

The cost of eating at the top of the tower may cost more than your average meal but it will be worth it to enjoy a spectacular view and at the same time sample some of Sydney's best cuisine. Why not sample some kangaroo or crocodile meat? Wear semi-formal clothes in the evening if you want to try out the revolving restaurants.
