Elizabeth Farm established in 1793 is perhaps one of the oldest European building in Australia. Its low reaching roof lines and simple yet elegant design has become the prototype for farm houses in Australia.
The Macarthurs who lived and furnished the place were the first wool pioneers who were responsible for developing merino flocks which became the basis for Australia's wool industry. Visitors should wander around the small garden at the farm as it is carefully tended by vigilant gardeners.
