Location: 8 Philip Street, City

If you love anything to do with cops and robbers, the Justice and Police Museum is definitely the place to visit. The building is a historic one. It served as the Water Police Court in 1856 then as the Water Police Station in 1858 and finally as the Police Court in 1885.

On displays are the various tools of the trade used to apprehend criminals and the yesteryear's criminal tools such as spiked metal ball and chains. There are also home-made medieval weapons that were more of personal use than anything.

Also included in the museum is a criminal museum room, a charge room, several cells and even a Magistrate Court. Everything you see in the museum, from the tool displays right to the rooms themselves have been meticulously maintained as part of the Historic Houses Trust Fund.
