Kylie first came into Australia's attention, when she appeared in Australia's longest running daytime soap opera, Neighbours as 'Charlene'. In January 1988, the name Kylie Minogue spread like wildfire in both the UK and Australia when she released the song that would mark her as a singer. That song was 'I should be so lucky' and it topped the European chart for 3 weeks as well as becoming the number 1 hit in Japan. Later in November, she recorded her smash hit with co-star Jason Donavon with the song 'Especially for You'. Since then, she has been offered a few roles in movies such as 'The Delinquents' (1989) and 'Street Fighter'. Although living in semi-retirement, Kylie is still as popular as ever. She has appeared alongside her younger sister, Danni Minogue in many concerts and still performs for clubs and concerts both in London and Australia. Song Credits:
