Just 200m from Manly Wharf is Oceanworld Manly. Purchased by the Coral World International, this impressive aquarium has three large levels accommodating all kinds of marine creatures from sharks to exotic seahorses.

Visitor can enjoy a leisure stroll in one of the underwater tunnel holding more than 5 million litres of water and thousands of marine creatures. You can also touch and explore the tiny creatures that lived in rock pools at the Touch Pool. One of the highlights of Oceanworld is the seal show which is shown daily. Visitors will be delighted by the clever antics of Australian and New Zealand fur seals.

There is also scuba diving for the brave at heart offered at Oceanworld. It does not matter if you are a novice or experienced diver, Oceanworld will offer you the chance to dive with the sharks or seals and promises this to be one of your most thrilling adventure.

TIPS: You can get to Manly by taking the ferry from Circular Quay to the Manly Wharf.Once you reach the wharf, simply bear left until you see the aquarium.

The best time to visit is during the weekdays as it may get crowded during the weekends. However, be aware that school excursions to Oceanworld are not uncommon.

Check List:

1. Opening hours: Seven days a week (10am to 5.30pm) except on Christmas Day
2. Highlights: Shark feeding (11.15am and 2pm), seal shows and turtle feeding (2.45pm daily)
3. First time divers will need to spend about 90 minutes in a diving pool before doing the dive with sharks (1hr 14 mins) or seals (1hr)
4. If you are an experienced diver, you will need to bring a diving license.
5. All dives are supervised and you must know how to swim.
