Australian Maritime Museum

The National Australian Maritime Museum is a great place to visit if you love ships and anything to do with the sea. Located in Darling Harbour, this museum has literally thousands of exhibits relating to Australia's history from the time of Aborigines right to the present.

One of the high lights of the museum is the Vampire, a former Royal Australian Navy destroyer and is considered one of the last guns in Australia. Included in the museum is a small but sleek racing cutter from 1888, a Vietnamese refugee boat, a World War II commando boat known as the Krait and a pearling lugger from Broome.
