Once the site of basketball courts, this huge amusement centre dominates the western block of Darling Harbour. Once you pay the flat entrance fee, you can join any of the rides inside for an unlimited time. Included in Sega World is The Mothership where you can reach the huge spacecraft through the time tunnel. The enormous spacecraft will hover above you allowing you to venture through different time frames of the past, present and future. For the past theme park, you will be able to join the "Rail Chase" which is a subterranean roller coaster. You can also hone your skills at hunting for ghosts in the Haunted House or win prizes at the Games of the Past carnival area. Enter the present theme park and strap onto motion seats while enjoying the large screen display. The Visionarium has about nine huge screens that provide an impressive 3600 images and can be hired for special presentations. The future theme has spaceship rides that uses virtual reality technology. There is also the Aqua Nova in which you wear 3D glasses and strap yourself within the belly of a giant mechanical shark. TIP: To reach Sega World by bus, catch the bus number 888 from Circular Quay. If you do come by train, simply disembark at Town Hall Station and the centre is a 5 minutes walk.
