Location: Heart of the city centre
One of the best ways to see Sydney from a bird's eye view is to take the monorail
which runs within the city itself. The monorail is not only comfortable and very
popular with tourists, it also features air conditioned and hidden speakers that will inform
you about the major sights as you peer out from the window.
The time lapse between each carriage is about 4 minutes and is very fast and efficient. To board
the monorail simply walk to any of the stations listed below and pay for your token at
either one of the machines near the entrance or at the teller. Take your token and enter via
the gates. Board the monorail once it comes to a complete halt.
The monorail operates from 7am to 10pm from Mondays to Thursdays. On Fridays to Saturdays,
it operates between the hours of 7am to 12 midnight and on Sundays from 8am to 10pm.
TIP: Look out for special packages that give you
day trip and the flexibility to hop on and off the monorail.
